Portrait Painting: A Passion for Art
Freedom comes first for me. After a technical education and the art academy I have traveled, lived and worked in various places in the world: Canada, USA, New Zealand, Bahrain, Spain and Thailand. I have been living and working in France since 1999 and moved to Thailand in September 2025.
I painted at a young age; As a study, copied works by old masters, gradually focused on painting portraits. Build boats starting at a young age. I particularly liked working with wood, metal and other materials, this has led to me being hands-on involved in many construction projects in addition to painting.
Portrait painting is a cherished part of *My life’s been a whirlwind of adventures*. Creating portraits is a deeply rewarding craft—once you’re in the flow, it’s like something transports you to another dimension. It’s hard to explain, but four hours can feel like just one. With *Jazz on the Rocks* playing in the background, I drift into a dreamlike state, and sometimes the painting seems to create itself.
