No App Store, but a real app
timewander isn’t in the App Store or Google Play — so there’s nothing to download or install from a store. It’s what’s called a PWA (Progressive Web App): a website that behaves like an app. Just open the link in your browser, and if you like, add it to your home screen with one tap — from then on it works just like a regular app, with its own icon, even without an internet connection.
How to install the app on your phone (as a real app icon) On iPhone, iPad or Mac:
- Open https://timewander.app/ in Safari (or any browser).
- Tap the share icon at the bottom (the square with the upward arrow).
- Choose “Add to Home Screen”.
- Tap “Add”.
The “timewander” icon will now appear on your home screen like a normal app!
How to install the app (as a real app icon) on Android phone, tablet or laptop:
- Open https://timewander.app/ in Chrome (or any browser).
- You will usually see a banner at the bottom saying “Add to Home screen” or “Install app” — tap it.
- If the banner doesn’t appear: tap the three dots (⋮) in the top right → choose “Add to Home screen” or “Install app”.
- Tap “Install” or “Add”.
The icon will now appear on your home screen as a real app.
Privacy – Your data is yours
Everything stays on your device – All your memories, photos and countries are stored only on your own phone or computer. There is no server, no account and no password needed.
Who can see your data? No one. Your memories are only visible to you, on your own device. We as the makers of timewander have no access to what you enter.
What if you share? If you share a link via “Share”, you choose who with. Only people with your link can see your timeline.
Deleting data – Want to delete everything? Clear the browser data for timewander.app on your device. Then everything is gone.
Cookies and tracking – timewander uses no cookies, no tracking and no advertising. We make no money from your data.
